Do you know this? Unplanned events cost time, money, and nerves and throw your schedule off track: a semi-trailer of your transport was lifted by the crane while still locked on the wagon during unloading; material damage, long downtime and unnecessary repair costs are the annoying consequences. Or the semi-trailer was not correctly positioned and locked onto the trailer hitch, which also leads to delays or, even worse, dangerous transportation of goods.
The sensor solution developed by MFD Rail provides the necessary transparency. The reliable system constantly monitors the correct position and secure locking of the kingpin during loading, transportation and unloading. An unlikely change in position during the journey is reported immediately. The position and locking status are easily visible through displays mounted on the wagon, mobile devices or desktop applications.
This makes the use of our double-pocket wagons much safer, more efficient and prevents additional costs.
Leave your contact details and we will come back to you as soon as the solution is available on all of our railcars.
The transmission of concrete data to mobile devices is still in progress.
As the lessor, we have access to all data on our wagons via the desktop app. You are also free to use it, but via the web portal of the telematics provider DOT Telematik. We would be happy to activate data use for you.
Yes, provided that you as the lessee or RU make the data accessible to your locomotive driver via your control system. We will be happy to release the data for integration into your system.
The sensor system reports the status only, mechanically there is no interference.
The individual safety regulations of the respective terminal must be taken into account. The respective control centres are free to feed the data into their control system and thus make it usable.
Please contact us, we will schedule the upgrade according to your needs.
Yes, using the data from additional sensors, conditions and events can be determined, such as weight changes (loading and unloading), vibrations (lifting of the wagon, derailment), speed (increase and decrease), braking behaviour, position of the wagon, etc.
